Technical Notes:

The PRL Motorsports Plug ‘n Play WiFi Flex-Fuel / Ethanol Content Analyzer Kit allows customers to wirelessly monitor ethanol content via any smart device or enable flex fuel via an optional 0.5-4.5V configurable output with a tuning device. Our innovative Patent Pending design utilizes the factory fuel line, which eliminates the chance for alternative fuel line deterioration and improves aesthetics. This kit utilizes factory plugs/outputs under the hood for power and communication to the ECU, meaning no need for additional wiring, cutting, splicing or running wires to the fuse box or through the firewall into the cabin! All hardware and bracketry is include for quick and easy installation. Kits can be installed and uninstalled within minutes. Please note that our kit does NOT utilize an ethanol content gauge, as we feel that this is unnecessary. Hondata and KTuner V1.2 both offer Bluetooth capabilities, while the KTuner V2 LCD screen can be used to display ethanol content if desired. All components are ethanol compliant!

Did you know that the factory fuel line assembly is actually Teflon and extremely resistant to ethanol-base fuels?

Factory ETFE (similar to PTFE) Honda / Acura Fuel Hose

The factory fuel line is actually constructed with an EPDM (fuel and oil resistant synthetic rubber) outer hose and inner ETFE (another Teflon coating that is similar to PTFE) liner, which offers great resistance to a variety of fuels, including ethanol-based fuels. Because of this, there is no reason to "upgrade" or replace the factory fuel line assembly when used with this Ethanol Content Analyzer / Flex Fuel Kit unless kinked or damaged (please note the "Do Not Kink" Warning located on the line).

Why Run Ethanol?

Due to rising gas prices and the push for alternative fuel sources, ethanol, derived primarily from corn, has become a common, cost-effective fuel choice. Ethanol has now found its way into most modern gas stations and the community now understands its list of benefits in comparison to gasoline, such as the fact ethanol burns cleaner, cooler and is more resistant to detonation. Because of these characteristics, ethanol is a cheap alternative to expensive race fuels like race gas and/or methanol, especially with high(er) compression factory turbocharged vehicles. E85 = 85% Ethanol and 15% Gasoline whereas E30 = 30% Ethanol and 70% Gasoline and so-on.

What is Flex Fuel?

In a nutshell, “flex-fuel” allows an internal combustion engine to flexibly utilize one or more different fuels (usually gasoline blended with either ethanol or methanol fuel), and both fuels are stored in the same common fuel tank. Flex-Fuel systems utilize an ethanol content analyzer to determine the amount of ethanol in a fuel system and a converter to send this reading to the vehicle’s ECU to instantaneously adjust for varying fuel mixtures.

      Well made but 4/5 stars . .

"High quality feel and look , power is notable on Ktuner setup but I’ll say I’m a bit underwhelmed with how expensive this kit is I was expecting more kick in the seat for the $ . Zero instructions for install with under performance gain is why 4/5 star."

FLEX FUEL V3 take your time!!!

"This along with the ktuner is one of the best performance mods for your Accord 2.0t. The product is great. The only thing I had a problem with was PRL not having a video install for the version 3 flex fuel kit which I didn’t know there were different versions of the flex fuel kit I was thinking I may have been sent the wrong product."

      Rodrick A. (5/5)

"Easy to install, and the wifi thing is very straightforward"

      Manuel (5/5)

      Worth it

"Install is fairly straightforward and it seems to work well. Stock fuel pump can only support up to around E40 or so, but at that level there is still a noticeable difference in performance. Would purchase again."

      Cole M. (5/5)

      EASY INSTALLATION WORTH THE WAIT

"EASY INSTALLATION WORTH THE WAIT LOVE PRL"

      MARIO P. (5/5)

Mod that actually gives you more power

"Installation was easy as there are multiple detailed videos online. This version is better since it cuts down a step and uses the oem fuel lines. The quality of the kit is well made and has a nice weight to it. This is one of the better mods if you want to gain more power as you are able to mix more ethanol into your fuel. The car pulls way better top end. An intercooler is recommended such as the Prl’s to prevent heatsoak and fully gain advantage of the flex fuel kit."

      Justin (5/5)

      Great kit overall!

"The kit took some time to install as the instructions were a bit vague at points. Overall, the kit (along with a tune) made the car pull much harder, well worth the money!"

      Kyle (5/5)

      Kit works great

"I have a catless downpipe, front pipe and intake from PRL and was running a 91 octane Hondata tune. Was very happy with performance with that setup. Then I installed flex fuel kit and it was icing on the cake. Noticed harder pulls and just another step up in performance. Install was easy for me, would recommend this kit for anyone looking to bruise some egos."

      kevin (5/5)

      I love it

"Though I haven’t installed it yet on my accord yet but I know it’s going to be off the hook with massive power with my type R turbo upgrad and all my bolts on thanks PRL MOTOR SPORTS best money purchase ever 👍👍✌️"

      Nel A. (5/5)

PRL Flex fuel install and performance

"This was a really great product and completely worth the money and time it took to install. Combined with a type r turbo swap and a tuned E35 blend, I was making 376whp and 370wtq. The install on my own took little over an hour and was pretty straight forward. Looking forward to pairing this with my P600 and water/meth injection."

      Q&A

I see the current version of the kit uses OEM fuel lines. Would upgraded fuel lines be compatible with this kit? Thanks.
Greetings, The factory fuel line is actually constructed with an EPDM (fuel and oil resistant synthetic rubber) outer hose and inner ETFE (another Teflon coating that is similar to PTFE) liner, which offers great resistance to a variety of fuels, including ethanol-based fuels. Will this fit the 21 acura tlx 2.0t
Greetings Mr. Sanchez. Unfortunately neither Flex Fuel Kit will work currently, due to there not being a MAP to select with your tuning device.
Will this allow me to run e85 without mixing with any other fuel?
Yes! You can run any blend of ethanol with this kit.
i have a 2019 honda accord 2.0 what settings and boxes need to be changed on my hondata to safely and effectively run this kit?
Instructions on how to tune for the Flex Fuel kit can be found in the install guide in the product description.
Can I just install this and run my car normally (stock) or do I need a k tuner after installation?
This would require a tune to run. Instructions on this can be found in the product description.
