Important Notes:

  • NO ECU CALIBRATION REQUIRED FOR STANDARD BORE MAF HOUSING
  • TWO STEP PERFORMANCE "TSP" & PHEARABLE CALIBRATIONS COMPATIBLE BY SELECTING "RACE MAF" OPTION
  • NOT COMPATIBLE WITH FACTORY CVT COOLER (SPAIN, TURKEY, ETC)

Technical Notes:

There’s a reason our Cobra Cold Air Intake Systems is a constant topic of discussion and so highly regarded. Our CNC machined billet aluminum MAF Housing was designed to provide *factory-spec fuel trims (-4% of factory STFT & LTFT) for optimal drivability and performance. The Cobra CAI utilizes a 4" volume from the air filter into the MAF Housing and is available with two different MAF housing choices; a Standard Bore housing and a Big Bore housing. Both housings utilizes the factory MAF sensor, but feature two different diameters and profiles. As mentioned above, the Standard Bore housing is designed to provide factory-spec fuel trims WITHOUT any tuning whatsoever. The Big Bore housing allows a 50% larger volume of air in comparison to the Standard Bore housing, which is why a tune IS required. This larger volume of airflow reduces pumping loss and creates an unrestricted air path to feed the MAF housing with ambient temperature air.

Customers can switch between MAF housings without having to buy another intake system by purchasing our MAF Housing Conversion Kit

Customers can convert to a Short Ram Intake with our Short Ram Intake Conversion Kit

Performance Gains:

  • 15 horsepower and 12 ft/lb torque gains in comparison to stock with Standard Bore MAF housing WITHOUT TUNE - Read More Here!
  • 20 horsepower and 15 ft/lb torque gains in comparison to stock with Big Bore MAF housing WITH Big Bore MAF basemap calibration on Hondata and/or KTuner – Read More Here!
  • Larger gains to be seen at higher power levels with custom tuning

Satisfying Turbo Sound !

"I recently purchased the 2016-2021 Honda Civic Non-Si 1. 5T Cobra Cold Air Intake System Standard Bore version (Carb EO) for my 2018 Honda Civic Ex-T and as of now have had no issues and would most definitely purchase this item again in a heart beat. I was looking for a modification that would allow me to really get that satisfying turbo sound on acceleration, this product does exactly that and it sounds amazing !"

Ramiro V. (5/5)

"Kinda difficult to install on my 2021 honda civic hatchback sport, took like 3-4 hours but, we got it in with some help from a knowing friend. Sounds absolutely sexy and looks the part too. If you love your civic and wanna give it a nice new voice box, this the one right here."

Awesome intake!

"Shipping was fast (with UPS ground) Sounds great, took 5 hours to put it on, the instructions aren't super descriptive, but if you use the instructions and a youtube video it makes it super easy."

Instantly noticed a performance difference

"I had a guy help me put it in and it’s amazing my throttle response instantly got better and it sounds amazing on my 2021 Honda civic hatchback sport touring especially in sport mode and a plus no lights came on the guy I was working with said it’s not necessarily to un attach the negative from the battery so we didn’t and everything worked out"

Matthew S. (5/5)

"Sounds good on my 2018 civic hatchback. Instructions are missing many steps, and the pictures were not helpful. Ended up finding a youtube video that was more helpful. Just know you have the take some bottom panels off."

Q&A

I have a 2021 1.5 sport hatch sport cvt. Do I need to get the upgraded inter cooler? I am from the u.s.
Not necessary, but a fantastic upgrade!
Do you guys offer a tune for the Big Bore CAI?
We do not offer tuning services. Hondata & K-Tuner offer calibrations for the big bore MAF.
Do you guys have any news on when this is getting CARB approved?
Greetings. We are currently in the long process of having our products CARB approved.
Hi! In Australia the standard model FK7 is a 1.8L R18 engine (non-turbo). Will this intake still fit my vehicle given that it is not a 1.5LT? Thanks!
Sorry, but no it won't.
I have this intake and noticed after a rain storm the intake filter was damp . Is this ok? Not really a way to prevent it aside from a water proof cover on the filter which defeats the purpose. How does this effect performance ?
Greetings. You will want to let the filter dry completely if possible. The filter may become damp after extended periods of driving in extreme conditions.
