Koyorad is proud to introduce a high-performance all-aluminum radiator for the ’16-’18 Honda Civic 1.5L Turbo both manual and automatic transmissions.  This brand new application features Koyorad's 36mm high density Hyper core.  This core was selected to increase the thickness of the stock radiator by over 43% to boost the Honda Civic’s heat capacity and endurance which is especially helpful during track conditions.  In addition, the all-aluminum construction replaces the weak plastic tanks found on the stock unit.  Koyorad has engineered this radiator with precision, directly replacing the stock OEM radiator, maintaining provisions for the factory fans, fan switch, A/C condenser, and accepts OEM hoses for a quick and simple installation. Koyorad’s advanced engineering and design methods, impeccable welds, experienced furnace brazing, and triple pressure testing for quality has earned their excellent reputation in performance cooling worldwide.

Technical Notes:

  • High Density fully brazed Hyper Core
  • Precision TIG welded
  • Two Row construction
  • Brushed aluminum finish
  • Direct Fit with OEM fans, hoses and sensor
  • Billet Drain plug
  • Triple Pressure tested

Zero fun. PLUS +No HP. But worth it to help cool the hot 1.5T

Installation was fairly straight forward. Between the included instructions and several youtube videos I managed to install the PRL Intercooler, PRL Charge Pipe upgrade, PRL Cobra Intake, PRL Titanium Inlet pipe upgrade, and a Koyorad Radiator in about 8 hours. 10 hours including the tune and troubleshooting a leak in the system that was 100% my own fault. That said, it installed just fine and sounds amazing.

I think the removal of the stock radiator was the hardest part to do, even with hose removal tools. but once in I notice an improved cooling right off the bat. My engine temp is down from hovering halfway to under a 3rd of the way almost all the time. Everyone tells me that this was a waste of $300 but I disagree. I think that cooling is just as important for your engine than anything else. Like a computer. If you buy a top notch AMD or Intel processor are you going to want to use the stock cooler that comes with it? Or upgrade the cooling system as well? Right, you are going to get better overall performance from a cool system. Same thing with engines.
