Built Around the Drive
From April 10th through the 12th, we made our way out to the Tail of the Dragon in North Carolina for Wake the Dragon 2026, a CivicX community meetup centered around a shared love of Honda performance. This wasn’t just a typical car meet. It was a mix of hanging out, organized driving, and getting real seat time on one of the most talked about roads out there. Over a couple of days, we got to put faces to names, catch up with people we’ve known online, and spend time driving roads that actually demand your attention.
The vibe stayed consistent all weekend. Friendly, easygoing, and community first. It wasn’t about going all out or trying to prove anything. It was about driving smart, keeping spacing tight but safe, and enjoying the road together. The Dragon pulls in drivers from all over, and you could feel that the entire time.
The Journey In and First Impressions

We made the nine hour haul from PRL HQ and rolled in after dark on Thursday night. Even without daylight, the drive in told us everything we needed to know. Windows down, cars stretched out in a line, exhaust notes bouncing through the trees, and that constant rhythm of corners coming at you one after another. It set the tone right away.
Once we got to the cabin, we did a quick reset and called it early. We knew Friday-Sunday was going to be packed, and we wanted to be ready for it.
Saturday: Exploring, Connecting, and the Swap Meet
Friday morning started exactly how you’d want it to. Cool air, mountain views, and that quiet before everything kicks off. We got the cars cleaned up, organized the product trailer, and spent a little time checking out the area before heading over to the infamous Deals Gap.

That’s where things really started to come together. Cars rolling through, different setups flying by, people posted up watching cars come down the hill after finishing their Dragon runs. Everything from bagger motorcycles to mk4 Supra's and classic BMW's echoing through the mountains. It gave a real sense of the variety of cars that the Dragon attracts.
That evening we set up at the CivicX Swap Meet at Fontana Dam Resort. This was one of the best parts of the weekend. No pressure, just people hanging out, popping hoods, trading parts, and talking through builds. We had the Type-R hard parked front and center, and it pulled a lot of attention. Plenty of questions about the P-07F wheels, the High Volume Intake system, and the expansion tank. We also had merch moving and got to spend a lot of time just talking with people about their setups and what they’re planning next.

Saturday: The Drive and the Community
Saturday started early. We were up at 7 and heading to the Fontana Dam Basin to meet up for the official drive. The setting was unreal. Cold morning air, mountains in the background, and the sound of cars starting up and idling through the lot.
After meeting with our group leaders and going through waivers and safety briefings, we got rolling. What followed was about six hours of driving through tight mountain roads, elevation changes that kept you on your toes, and small towns that broke things up just enough. The pace stayed controlled, which made the whole experience better. Everyone was locked in, keeping it clean, driving with purpose without getting reckless.

We stopped for lunch midway, then made our way back to the resort to get set up for the CivicX evening car show. More time with customers, more builds to check out, and more conversations that you just don’t get online.

That night wrapped with the banquet. Good food, awards, giveaways, and a packed room of people who all put serious time into their cars. You could see the effort behind every build. Different styles, different goals, but the same level of commitment across the board.
Highlights, Shoutouts, and Looking Ahead
There were a lot of standout moments, but that first drive into the mountains at night sticks with us. It set the tone right away. A full line of cars moving together, steady pace, everyone dialed in and focused but still enjoying it. That feeling carried through the entire weekend.
Seeing the lineup roll in, hearing all the different setups, and realizing how far people came to be there really put things into perspective. This community is tight, and it shows when everyone gets together like this.

Big shoutout to Savannah Valkyrie for putting it all together, along with KTuner as the headline sponsor. Events like this take a lot of work behind the scenes, and it paid off. Same goes for the other vendors who were out there making it happen, including Two Step Performance, RV6 Performance, Milltek Corp, 27WON Performance, Verus Engineering, Swift Springs, and Wunderladen Racing. Huge congrats to Scott Poeschl for taking home Best 11th Gen Type R.
From our side, both PRL cars showed up and did exactly what we needed. The Type-R on chrome P-07F wheels got a ton of attention all weekend. The Si felt planted through the corners and gave us confidence when pushing into tighter sections. The PRL 4-Piston calipers really proved their value when it came time to slow things down fast in the corners and keep a consistent pace.

Our booth setup worked out exactly how we wanted. It gave us a solid place to connect with people, walk through products, and talk about what we’ve been working on.
Looking ahead, we’re already thinking about next year. Bigger setup, more product on display, more merch, and an even stronger presence throughout the weekend. Wake the Dragon is the kind of event that reminds you why you got into this in the first place, and we’ll definitely be back.
