The PRL Motorsports Ford F-150 intercooler was designed to handle the real-world demands of towing, hauling, and daily driving. Built around a high-efficiency bar-and-plate core and TIG-welded aluminum end tanks, it delivers cooler, denser air to the engine for consistent power and reliability. The PRL bar-and-plate intercooler features a robust core design engineered for consistent cooling performance under demanding conditions. Its heavy-duty construction offers improved impact resistance over the factory tube-and-fin intercooler, making it better suited for real-world driving. Each unit is finished with a durable powder coat to provide enhanced corrosion resistance, ensuring long-lasting performance and appearance.

New PRL Intake Systems for the Ford F-150
Alongside the intercooler comes the launch of the PRL Ford F-150 intake systems, designed for 2.7L and 3.5L models. (including 3.5L Raptor Models) Each system features:
- A massive 5.5 x 9-inch cone filter for maximum airflow
- High-volume roto-molded airbox with hood-sealing scoop for direct fresh air intake
- Dual 4” intake tubes (one per turbo) for maximum airflow and balanced distribution
- Engine-specific silicone inlet pieces for optimal alignment
The result is improved airflow, sharper throttle response, and the unmistakable sound of the EcoBoost under load — all while maintaining factory-like installation and reliability.

Question:
I bought a used 2022 F-150 that had another companies CAI installed. After several trips to the Ford dealer to diagnose a “chirping” sound it was determined that there was back pressure going back up the tubing and filter. Turbo’s checked out ok. I’m thinking that the waste gates on the OEM turbo’s can’t handle the increased air flow of the CAI? Is this an issue you have engineered for?
